Selected evidence of enterprise significance

A capability brief became a build-ready customer-value ecosystem—because GC followed the evidence beyond learning and into the future of sales and advice.

011

Connected sales-and-advice ecosystem

Customer context, collective expertise, learning, recognition, talent growth and platform adoption designed as one value system.

03200+

Build-ready functional elements

Detailed features and business requirements translated the strategy into product and solution architecture.

0422

Technology options investigated

A platform landscape assessment tested feasibility, integration fit and the route into development.

055-year

Cost-and-return decision case

A forward-looking feasibility view enabled executive consideration of investment, return and execution risk.

Tangible product blueprint

Role-based journeys, interface concepts, wireframes and a prototype made the future experience visible.

The client challenge

The mandate began with capability. The evidence revealed an enterprise system problem.

The apparent requirement was to modernise learning for sales and service professionals. GC’s diagnostic exposed a more consequential question: how should assisted sales evolve inside a platform-led bank?

Fragmented expertise, product-led selling, disconnected assisted and unassisted journeys, uneven customer context, legacy incentives and conventional learning models constrained the organisation’s ability to deliver relevant advice at scale.

The strategic reframe

FromBuild better sales capability.
ToEnable every sales professional to find relevance in platform and move from selling products to solving customer needs through advice.
North Star

Create a home for sales professionals to find their identity in platform by evolving their role from sales to advisor.

Five value imperatives

The North Star became an operating logic that connected customer solutioning, contribution, capability, growth and belonging.

01

Solve

Crowdsource customer solutions and scale advisory expertise through collective intelligence.

02

Earn

Recognise and reward valuable contribution, community behaviour and customer solutioning.

03

Learn

Embed micro, social and advisory learning directly into the flow of customer work.

04

Grow

Make expertise, contribution and progression visible while building the future advisory pipeline.

05

Connect

Create belonging, shared identity and cross-boundary access to people, knowledge and experience.

The final solution

A living value ecosystem—not a digital learning portal.

Community on Platform converted dispersed human expertise into a governed, searchable and continuously evolving enterprise asset, organised around real customer needs.

01

Social Hub

A real-time community feed for requesting advice, sharing experience, surfacing campaigns and enriching customer context.

02

Solutions Lab

A living knowledge environment where customer challenges could be solved, validated, evolved and curated into reusable advice.

03

Profile & Growth

A professional identity showing expertise, contribution, influence and social currency—making talent and growth visible.

04

Learning

Peer-generated, just-in-time micro and social learning embedded in actual customer and practitioner journeys.

05

Gamification

Recognition, rewards and progression designed to stimulate quality, contribution, adoption and community-building behaviour.

Governance through participation

Expertise could scale without abandoning quality.

The Citizen model created a progression from observation and contribution through verification, solution evolution and curation—making trust, recognition and knowledge quality part of the platform itself.

How value moved

From one customer need to reusable enterprise intelligence.

The platform was designed to make customer context the organising force of advice, knowledge, learning and professional growth.

01

Need

A real customer challenge enters the community.

02

Mobilise

Distributed specialists collaborate around it.

03

Solve

Advice is created from collective experience.

04

Govern

Solutions are tested, validated and curated.

05

Scale

Knowledge becomes reusable across the enterprise.

Strategic frontier

The final proposition opened the possibility of customers becoming active participants—enriching customer profiles, contributing to solution evolution and connecting real context directly to advice, learning, product development and financial wellness.

The transformation journey

Each phase changed what became possible in the next.

GC carried the mandate from enterprise evidence and strategic reframing through platform architecture, experience design and build-ready decisioning.

01
Diagnose

Understand the enterprise system

GC built a multidimensional fact base spanning strategy, financial performance, sales models, customer journeys and sentiment, roles, capability, learning, incentives, competitors, future trends and technology.

02
Reframe

Change the question

The evidence shifted the mandate from building a learning hub to defining how sales and service professionals could remain relevant, valuable and customer-centric in a platform future.

03
Architect

Engineer the value ecosystem

GC connected customer centricity, scalable advice, knowledge, learning, incentives, talent growth and platform adoption into one governed operating ecosystem.

04
Make tangible

Design the platform experience

The strategy became detailed journeys, role-based experiences, interface concepts, wireframes, citizen governance, a prioritised feature architecture and an MVP prototype.

05
De-risk

Build the development decision

GC investigated technology backbones, assessed feasibility, cost, return and execution risk, and defined the route into integration, development, pilot and scale.

Depth of delivery

Five layers from enterprise evidence to development decision.

The work did not stop at conceptual design. GC translated the ecosystem into a detailed product and solution-engineering package that enabled the organisation to evaluate how it could be built, integrated, governed, funded and mobilised.

01Enterprise evidence + strategic reframe

Reveal the system behind the capability brief.

GC built an enterprise fact base and used the evidence to reframe the mandate around the future relevance of assisted sales and advice.

  • Strategy, financial performance, customer, role, capability, incentive and technology evidence
  • 70 stakeholder engagements, 31 focus groups and 246 participants
  • Executive alignment, case for change and strategic North Star
02Customer value + advisory logic

Make customer context the organising force.

The solution connected customer needs to the people, advice, knowledge and behaviours required to solve them at scale.

  • Customer-value and advisory architecture
  • Solve, Earn, Learn, Grow and Connect value imperatives
  • Community value chain and return-and-impact tracking logic
03Community + governance

Scale expertise without abandoning trust.

Participation, progression and curation were engineered into the ecosystem so that distributed knowledge could become a governed enterprise asset.

  • Social Hub, Solutions Lab, Learning, Gamification and Profile domains
  • Citizen, Verified Citizen, Super Citizen and Admin Citizen progression
  • Solution validation, content governance, recognition and social-currency mechanics
04Product + experience engineering

Turn the strategy into a tangible platform experience.

GC translated the ecosystem into role-based journeys, interfaces and requirements detailed enough to support a real development decision.

  • Personas, use cases, detailed user journeys and interface concepts
  • Wireframes and a tangible MVP prototype
  • More than 200 functional elements and business requirements
05Feasibility + mobilisation

De-risk the route into build, pilot and scale.

The final work tested the technology landscape, integration options, economics and execution path rather than leaving the concept at presentation level.

  • Twenty-two-platform technology and integration investigation
  • Five-year cost-and-return and execution-risk assessment
  • Development, pilot, integration and programme-mobilisation roadmap

What changed

The ambition, the operating logic and the path to value.

The GC difference

GC did not simply design a learning intervention. We helped the bank discover a more valuable question.

We engineered the strategic response and translated it into a platform-ready blueprint: a governed value ecosystem, tangible MVP, detailed requirements architecture and evidence-based route into development.
